PACKERS ARE HERE

Mixed emotions as we pack up our belongings and prepare to end our mission.  It is all so real right now.
Trying to be organized before the movers come.

They are happy but very busy little workers.
They had all our 36 boxes packed and loaded within just a few hours...
And there they go!!

Wow -- now what do I do?

VISITORS/FUN/SHARING

JULY HAS BEEN A MONTH OF "MANY HAPPENINGS"!!  IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO CAPTURE THE MOMENTS IN THE SAME WAY WE WITNESSED THEM.
BUSY MONTH FOR SURE!!
Elder Khumbulani Mdletshe has served as our Area Authority for about 2 years.  This was our last visit with him.  Thank you Elder for your guidance and service here in Angola.
Elder Mitch Rush served here in Angola from 2014-2015.  He returned to visit with his parents.  What a joy it was to be able to spend some time with them and share the love we have for Elder Rush.

Dinner with the Kilamba Branch Presidency and some of their family members.
The other end of the table was having just as much fun!!  It is always fun to hang out with friends.

When Amy came to visit, she brought the game "bean boozled".  Elder Ostler and Elder Mochaki are enjoying a game with Elder Paulino (below).

Another visitor showed up... We don't know his name and we don't know where he came from.  But, he sure liked holding on to President Merrill's tie.

CAPE TOWN -- GOOD BYE FOR THE LAST TIME

Good bye Cape Town.
We take with us many good memories and an appreciation for your Country and Culture.

 Another try at a selfie!!!
And the most handsome Mission President I have ever met.

CAPE TOWN -- CAPE OF GOOD HOPE

We had some free time to tour on our own.  We decided to tour the city and see what there is out there!!  What a treat we had!!!!
At one time we were on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean and then on the shore of the Indian Ocean.
Cold, rain, wind, animals, and natural beauty all in one day.
Starting out in False Bay on the Indian Ocean...

Through quaint little parts of town...
 Birds enjoying the sun.

Look out for baboons... :-0
Along the side of the road you can see these baboons.

Cape of Good Hope is the most Western tip of Africa.  It is a natural park with beautiful views of the surrounding ocean and land.

Atlantic Ocean
Ostriches along the road.

BACK TO FALSE BAY TO SEE THE PENGUINS...
Love these cute little creatures!

In this reserve, they have place protections for the penguin nests.  If you look close you can see the eggs.
Need we say more about penguins?

NOW BACK TO THE ATLANTIC!!

They call these mountain peaks,
"The Twelve Apostles".

AND BACK TO THE LIGHTHOUSE!  SAFE AND SOUND.

CAPE TOWN -- CONFERENCE AND FRIENDS

A trip to Cape Town for Mission Presidents Seminar.  After some very spiritual and inspiring meetings we head out in the evenings to play.
Taking a sunset cruise with all the Mission Presidents, Wives and the Area Presidency

With our dear friends, President and Sister Wilson.
Beautiful Sunset on the Atlantic Ocean.

 Looking back at the city...
One of the oldest working lighthouse in Africa.
