P-DAY FOR SENIORS ONLY

A visit to the old Portuguese Fort that overlooks Luanda.  This fort was used to protect the port of Luanda during the Portugal reign.  It is now a museum with artifacts from both the war of independence and the civil war fought in Angola.

Sister Henry and Sister Merrill inside the lookout towers.

Inside the museum are tiled walls with intricate designs depicting different parts of Angola history.
Then of course is the artillery side of the museum.
It was a great day learning some of the history of this country.
A day of just relaxing and spending time together.
